Christopher J. Molina provides independent, non-clinical treatment placement and family advocacy services (the “Services”). This policy explains how information is collected, used, and protected through this website and the Services.
Information collected
- Through this site: when you contact me or book a consultation, I may collect your name, email, phone number, and anything you choose to include in your message.
- Through the Services: to coordinate a placement, clients and families may share information that includes health, mental-health, substance-use, legal, or family history. You decide what you share.
How information is used
Information is used solely to provide and coordinate the Services — understanding the situation, identifying appropriate programs, coordinating admission, and supporting the transition into care. It is not sold, rented, or used for advertising.
Confidentiality and disclosure
Information is handled privately and may be disclosed:
- with your written authorization (for example, to a treatment program, attorney, or other party you designate through a Release of Information); or
- where disclosure is required or permitted by law.
Sensitive information
Health, substance-use, legal, and family information is treated as sensitive and shared only as needed for authorized placement coordination or as required or permitted by law. A receiving provider may have additional privacy obligations that apply to its own records.
Information about minors
For clients under 18, services are engaged and authorized by a parent or legal guardian. Certain information about a minor may be subject to additional consent requirements under applicable law.
Required disclosures
Information may be disclosed when required or permitted by applicable law, including reporting obligations related to suspected abuse, abandonment, or neglect.
Safeguards
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used to protect the information in my care. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
Third-party tools
This site and the Services may use third-party tools (for example, scheduling and hosting providers) that process limited information in order to function. These providers maintain their own privacy practices.
