Christopher Molina provides independent, non-clinical treatment placement and family advocacy services (the “Services”). This policy explains how information is collected, used, and protected through this website and the Services.
Information collected
- Through this site: when you contact me or book a consultation, I may collect your name, email, phone number, and anything you choose to include in your message.
- Through the Services: to coordinate a placement, families share information that may include health, mental-health, or substance-use history and details about a minor. You decide what you share.
How information is used
Information is used solely to provide and coordinate the Services — understanding the situation, identifying appropriate programs, coordinating admission, and supporting the transition into care. It is not sold, rented, or used for advertising.
Confidentiality and disclosure
Information you share is kept confidential and disclosed only:
- with your written authorization (for example, to a treatment program, attorney, or other party you designate through a Release of Information); or
- where disclosure is required or permitted by law.
Substance-use records (42 CFR Part 2)
Substance-use disorder information is treated as confidential and handled consistent with 42 CFR Part 2. Such information will not be disclosed into any legal or court proceeding without your specific written consent or a qualifying court order.
Information about minors
For clients under 18, services are engaged and authorized by a parent or legal guardian. Certain information about a minor may be subject to additional consent requirements under applicable law.
Mandatory reporting
Christopher Molina is a mandatory reporter under Florida law (Fla. Stat. § 39.201) and is required to report known or suspected child abuse, abandonment, or neglect, regardless of confidentiality.
Safeguards
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used to protect the information in my care. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
Third-party tools
This site and the Services may use third-party tools (for example, scheduling and hosting providers) that process limited information in order to function. These providers maintain their own privacy practices.
Status
Christopher Molina provides non-clinical advisory services and is not acting as your healthcare provider. This policy is not a HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices. (Whether HIPAA applies to any part of the Services should be confirmed by counsel.)
